As described by most of the participants of research, it is essential to know what is change management definition, is actually and what is not. Change management process is not a stand-alone procedure for designing a solution of business or technique to improve the performance of the organization.
Change management definitions are the techniques, tools and processes for managing the change of people-side. Change management process is not an improvement method. It is a method for managing and reducing resistance to change when the organizational change, technology and the process is being implemented. Change management system involves the essential component for the performance of an organization and the process of improvement to achieve success and involve programs such as total quality management, six sigma, organizational development, business process re-engineering continuous process improvement and restructuring. Change management process manages change to realize the results of business.
The change management process involves activities or steps in sequence that is followed by the project change management or change management team to apply change management to a change or to a project. It helps in managing every request for a change within the project. Hence, by applying this change management process the amount of change taking place can be easily controlled and monitored. It also guides you the method of implementing control change via reviews and change approvals.
On the basis of research of Prosci there are three phases of the change management system and they are as follows: First phase is to prepare for a change; this involves preparation, assessment and change management strategy development.
Second phase is to manage the change; this involves detailed planning and implementation of change management and hence you can track change as it takes place and further control the effect. Third phase is to reinforce the change; this involves gathering of data, action taken to correct it and recognizing the change.
