You can find any number of ways to read such affirmative messages, and generally these are small passages that take just a minute or two to read. When you read affirmations on a regular basis, you will find that you really do start to internalize what you are read. As you can see, how to improve self esteem doesn't have to take up a huge portion of your free time.

Audio Books

You may think you don't have time to listen to audio books, and honestly few people today have time to sit around and do nothing but listen to a DVD. Friend Adjustments

The fact is that many people have low self esteem because of the people they spend time with. Consider your friends and even your family members for a moment and think about if they are normally positive and uplifting to you, or if they use you as a sounding board for griping and complaining. While you cannot get rid of your family, if you want to know how to improve self esteem, you may need to adjust just how much time you spend with these people who bring you down. Plus, simply being aware of their negative influence on your life will make a positive difference.
