So here we go, you have a very good idea what the subject and the product of you new website will be: which will be either a hobby you very much love or perhaps something that has taken your imagination.
Which every way you go, it really must hold a serious interest for you, so that you will put in the hours required to get the website up and traffic coming in.
If you really love what you are about to do; your future website will be more informative and in depth and real then anybody else out there...this fact will get your customers retuning to you time and time again....if only for the free fresh content and to see what is new in your chosen niche.
To get them to keep retuning your need to find out just what it is that your future customers really want. And to do that you need to spend time in research and find out what they are really concerned about. You have to dig deep and find out your customer's real worries and just what do they bellyache about. To be successful on line your really must pinpoint what troubles them and then give them quick straight forward answers on your website...do that and you have a customer for life.
How do you do this?
Listen to what other people are saying. This is like going to a cafe and drinking a cup of coffee and taking notes on what the people on the next table are saying. It is called eavesdropping.
The way to do it on the net is easy but takes time. Get your self a notebook and pen and join chat rooms and bulletin boards that are relating to you niche. Do not join in just stand back and take note of the main threads. Get into their minds and see what they want.
Let Google do the hard work; just type in your niche and see where that leads. Doing this will take you right to several groups of enthusiasts who will be (so they think) in a quite corner of the web, moaning and, that my friend that is very very valuable information.
The next strategy is to do with newsletters. Once again let Google do the hard work. Just type in "free newsletters your niche. And then subscribe to them all. This will of course fill up your inbox with tons of offers, new items and junk...but it really is the very best way to find out what the problems of your niche are and you can then give them the answer.
As I have said before this will take time but to be successful with your website, you really must be do. You can rest assured that most people will not bother to do this, for they are too busy making a million bucks in a week and do not have the patients to do the research to find the real gold at the bottom of the rainbow.
One other tip: open up another email account under another name, just for the newsletter. Doing this will at least keep your own emails clear of spam.
