SEO is not about tricking the search engines or putting up worthless content with sticky notes on top called keywords. It is simply building a site that is friendly and available to the customers. There are a number of people out there who do not find what they are looking for! And if you tap at the keywords that did not provide them with satisfying results and create content that would satisfy them, you are providing them with a great free service ‘and’ giving them the choice to come to your site and find more options to what they seek.
SEO doesn’t come with a rule book of dos and don’ts. But ‘what works for people’ seems to be the general criteria for any search engine. This is why external links play a major part in SEO. Posting a few links here and there doesn’t do the trick unfortunately, as search engines pick up the anchor text that is pointing towards your site and weigh it for relevance. So you know now, that empty link means empty click. Link building requires strategic content placement—content that is rich in quality and laden with relevant keywords.
Links that point to a specific page are more effective with search engines, which mean content landing pages are hot cakes. Imagine what fresh content and even news can do to build your traffic. Supposing you are a game dealer, you could develop value to your site by posting reviews on say, the latest gaming platforms. Anything new and big happening in your market arena will look good if it is on your domain too while achieving the original motive to build external links. Well linked internal content is also a key to SEO, mind you.
How much others rely on you (external links) would improve your domain’s trust and authority on the search engine which accounts to the biggest part of search engine ranking.
